New and Improved

BFF Jennifer, my college roomie and Dear friend, selected the perfect shade of Tiffany blue for my showroom. She is a mobile Home Depot really. Jenn should be on one of those Design Star reality shows, seriously. Fortunately I get her talents. Not only did she fetch supplies for me, she helped me paint and set up for 8 plus hours. Only she and I enjoy such projects. She even remembered the surgical gloves.

For the birds

I am loving birds these days. (The brown one has a black bird cage). They are so free and soar for heaven...so peaceful yet strong at the same time. There will be more birds I think. An owl perhaps....

Miss Kitty

I have been babysitting Miss Kitty, the kitten I rescued from a cardboard box last November that my mom took off my hands since my husband did not want another cat. She has been keeping me company in my sewing room. The sock monkey near the window is mine. My great Aunt Coco made it for me when I was little. Miss Kitty loves monkeys too!

Smartie Pantz Kids

I have been meaning to highlight stores that sell Shoe Money products for some time now. I am so fortunate to work with stores like Smartie Pantz Kids that merchandise beautifully and offer the best customer service. Smartie Pantz recently made a webpage: www.smartiepantzboutique.com
Check out their adorable stores in Bee Caves and Marble Falls Texas. Thank you Lori and Stacy!!

Fixtures

Thanks soooo much Shawn for these fabulous fixtures.

You read my mind and then some. I still have to paint them white. They are going to look fabulous in my showroom and for shows I am attending this Fall. Thank you for taking time away from your business (Texas Lawn Company) to help me out.

Yes, I want another girl...

So when you sew, and want to make a little money, AND want a baby, that makes a baby item business like mine. Yes, I want another girl. Not because my son Zack isn't the love of my life. He is so yummy:funny, cuddly, in trouble always....

I was not buying boutique-y items for Zoe when she was a baby. I was a single mom, and a teacher. Old Navy and gifts from family and friends were perfect. I'd love to have another chance to doll up a baby girl. So I am inspired. (Well, I am also inspired by other influences, like Project Runway. That explains my recent uses of pleather and jean rivets..) Maybe some day I will have a baby girl to give one of everything girly I make.
