Thankful

How lucky am I that I wake up each morning thinking "what can I make today?" I am thankful for my kids that are the reason I stopped teaching to see more often. I am thankful for a husband who is beginning to take my business seriously (I think turning a room in our home into my sewing room convinced him this wasn't going away) I am also thankful for my supportive family and friends. My mom is my behind-the-scenes-go to-gal when I need notions,socks,fabric..you name it. My college roomie, Jennifer, is my Dallas rep and personal decorator...and who I stay with each month for market. I am thankful for my seamstresses and monogrammers: Odette,Linda,Terry and Emily that take my ideas and run with them and even create new ideas for me. Last but not least, I am blessed to work with such great stores. I am still working on highlighting each one. I would not be a business without them. Ok, I am supposed to be baking..so are you probably....or eating!! Enjoy. Lori

Here I go again with the monkeys

I do not know why monkeys are so fun for me. I love creating monkey items, clearly. It is like my own little private joke that only I think is funny I guess. They just tickle me. I made some accessories for stuffing stockings this year. The pacifier holder has a monkey button on the top and a ring that opens to attach the pacifier on the other. The headband comes in red and the hats blue or fuschia. The bibs are laminated cotton and wipe clean.

Sleep sack sets

So here are some combinations to bundle into a nice holiday gift or new baby gift. Diaper covers could be added as well. I like how the sleep sacks come in one size. You have to click and enlarge to see details kike covered buttons, fabric bows, tulle, and wording like"new! new! new!" and "hoppy to be here".

Requests

Customers always give me the best ideas. Sometimes they sit in the bakc of my mind and I execute them when I figure out how to. Ande, here is a reversible wipe off bib. It can be done in colors for boys too ofcourse.

Brandi remembered my ballet bags and asked for some for her nieces in different fabrics she picked out. (Also reversible and lined with pockets...) Jasper keeps me thinking about fun ideas for unique onesies, so here is a partridge in a pear tree set. Keep the ideas coming!!

Peace

Okay, I may have been influenced by Dancing With the Stars. I kind of wanted to add green sequins along the ruffle lines on the panties too... or on the bottom of legs of pants that match. I may need to step away from the trims today but they are so festive..

Kensington

Here is a reversible minky on inside pillow case for Kensington. Love that name....The playmat and cart cover are also available Kenzie!

Merry Monkey

This is a "haute" monkey I created for Jasper's nephew, Cash. Cash is the cutest,fuzzy-haired baby. He has been the inspiration for many onesies lately and I have only seen pictures of him. I was piddling one day and thought this would be fun for him to wear to his uncle's Open House at The Loft in Center,Texas this thursday. Speaking of, here is more info about it: www.myspace.com/theloftcentertexas

I also made ornaments this past weekend that have a clear "sleeve" to add a photo to (okay, I am between orders, or was, and girl's gotta create stuff!). The "3" set is for a friend's daughter. I am alllll about knit pants to go with tops now. I found some really cute pants in jewel tones..well..you'll see soon!

Whoooo's sewing..

I have been dreaming up this owl for some time. Maybe because my sewing room window has a big tree in front of it....I want to make matching pants with the chest fabric kindof gathered and flouncy on the bottom...an order comes in next week .I added bells and tulle to my signature ribbon onesie for the holidays. Here is the holiday monkey (he could have a santa hat). I am still working on a tree. ..between orders.

Catching up on new...

More to come, but here are some recent additions.

Love me a monkey

Here is my take on the monkey on a onesie. He or she needs a muzzle. And some personality..and the signature lips. And sometimes a place to go..

New

so I am really behind on keeping up with my website. It is not user friendly. I make new items faster than I can keep up withthe tedious process of updating it. I find that I get a new idea almost every day. I have many inspirations:Jasper of Baby Loft (the best thing since Bealls in Center,TX and quite a creative entrepeneur), seasons, holidays, add on items like pants that go with onesies, new babies, a dream of having another baby...way too much for my little website. I am thinking I will start putting new items on my blog every week or so. Here are some of my latest. Coming soon: infant elastic bottom sleepers.

Monkey see, monkey do

Cal was my baby model for the day in my showroom. He was sooo cute in all things monkey. Mom Ande let me try different things on him, most of which I have never seen on a baby before. Here he is on a playmat with a monkey friend.
